Test Valley School is a comprehensive secondary school located in Stockbridge, Hampshire, England.
Due to its rural location, it has a wide catchment area, with significant numbers of students travelling from Andover and other places like Salisbury.
Its school emblem is the Test Valley Trout and this is seen on the uniform. It has been designed so that the emblem incorporates simplistic shapes, emphasising it's specialisms.
As a specialist school in maths, the students take parts in various 'challenges' in the mathematical world.the main challenge test valley undertakes is the UKMT or the UK math challenge taken once every year by the top maths sets from each year. Also a few yers a go some year 9's did the 'Peachy Fruitcakes', who managed to come joint first in the National Cipher Challenge.
The uniform colours are bottle green for Years 7-9, grey for Years 10-11 and Year 11 Prefects have their own black uniform.
The school has six houses named after local people who did notable things throughout history, all with their own house colour; Austen (Yellow), Dickens (Orange), Gaunt (Red), Nightingale (Green), Sopwith (White) and Wickam (Blue).
Despite having many renowned sports teams, Test Valley School teachers and pupils do not refer to themselves as 'The Test Valley Trouts', popular to contrary belief, because Test Valley is not in an American Movie.
The School is known for its work in ELBS and in the top field there are many animals such as Goats, Chickens and Rabbits. Chickens can be seen wondering throughout the school as they are allowed to roam freely.
