This is a list of all mobile phone carriers in the Asia Pacific Region and their respective number of subscribers. There are an estimated 2.6 billion mobile phones activated through various carriers in the region.

Afghanistan

As of June 2015, the penetration rate in Afghanistan was estimated at 77%: 24.53 [1] millions subscribers over a population estimate of 31.8 million.

The country's telecom regulator is the Afghanistan Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ATRA).

1. CSL and New World Mobility merged in April 2006 and became CSL New World Mobility Group. The two networks operated separately until 2010 when the network of New World Mobility was merged into the network of CSL.

3. July 2005: HKT Limited(also known as PCCW), former owner of CSL, has agreed in June to buy the 59.9% stocks of Sunday held by the two biggest shareholders at HK$0.65 each share. The acquisition has received approval from Office of the Telecommunications Authority, and has progressed to a mandatory unconditional cash offer to buy the remaining stock at HK$0.65 per share. Total cost to PCCW will be approx HK$1.942bn, allowing its reentry into the wireless market by possessing Sunday's 2G (GSM 1800) and 3G (UMTS) licences.
4. In May 2014, Australian telecommunications giant Telstra announced it had completed the sale of Hong Kong-based mobile business CSL to HKT Limited, with proceeds for its stake totaling US$1.99 billion.

India
