Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (Burmese: မြန်မာ့ဆက်သွယ်ရေးလုပ်ငန်း), abbreviated MPT) is a state owned enterprise in Myanmar under the supervision of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. MPT operates the country's postal system. Until 2013, it was also Myanmar's only telecommunications operator.

Until 2013, MPT monopolised the mobile and landline phone communication, internet services. Telenor Group of Norwegian and Ooredoo of Qatar are granted licenses to operate nationwide network including mobile and internet for 15 years in 2013.

KDDI and Sumitomo Group of Japan and MPT signed in July 2014 to jointly operate mobile network for 10 years in Myanmar. Japan companies plan to invest US$2 billion for that joint-venture.[1][2] MPT currently has more than 18 million subscribers.
