Khovrino (Russian: Ховрино) is a station under construction on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line of the Moscow Metro due to open in 2016. The boring of 2.2 km of tunnels north from the current terminus, Rechnoy Vokzal, was completed in December 2014 by tunnel boring machine. At the opening, it will become the northern terminus of the line.

History

Various plans have existed throughout the history of the line to extend it northward, and recent plans included an intermediate station, Belomorskaya, between Khovrino and Rechnoy Vokzal, but it was later abandoned in favour of the current arrangement.
