History
Keepmoat's history dates back to 1931. Bramall & Ogden Ltd, founded by George Bramall and Dick Ogden, and Frank Haslam Milan Ltd, were established in Rotherham and Doncaster. The two original businesses operated throughout Yorkshire on public sector housing projects.
After both businesses were renamed to Bramall Construction and Frank Haslam Milan, in 1983, the management teams from the two companies formed its parent company, Keepmoat.[2]
In 1986, the company established Haslam Homes, a house-building division of Keepmoat.
Keepmoat bought Milnerbuild, a Leeds-based social housing repair and maintenance company, in 2010.[3] In 2012, the Keepmoat group of companies and Apollo merged[4] to become Keepmoat Ltd, forming a business with a turnover of £1 billion.
In 2014, Keepmoat was acquired by two London-based priavte equity firms, TDR Capital and Sun Capital Partners (UK).[5][6] Both partners expressed their intentions to support the long-term growth plans of the company.
Major projects
Keepmoat’s major projects include the regeneration programme of the Byker Wall in Newcastle,[7] the St. Mary's Passivhaus development in Oldham,[8] two PFI projects in Leeds[9] and Pendleton,[10] and a regeneration project in West Gorton to build 400 new homes.[11]
Sponsorships
Keepmoat has been the main sponsor of the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster since 2006.[12] The Keepmoat Stadium is home to Doncaster Rovers F.C., Doncaster RLFC and Doncaster Rovers Belles L.F.C..
