Halime Khatun (Ottoman Turkish: حلیمه خاتون) was the, daughter of Shahjade Numan, wife of Ertuğrul, and the mother of Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire.[citation needed]
Biography
She was daughter of Shahjade Numan, titular Sultan of Rum and ethnically an Oghuz Turk. She married Ertuğrul and gave birth to three sons, Osman I, Gündüz Alp and Savji Bey. The burial place of Halime Khatun is located in the garden of the Ertuğrul Gazi's grave in Söğüt.
