Emine Hatun (c. 1389 – c. 1449) was the third wife of the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed I, mother of Murad II,[1] and the grandmother of Mehmed the Conqueror.
Biography
Emine was Turkish, daughter of Nasıreddin Mehmed Bey, the fifth ruler of Dulkadirids. In 1403, Emine was married to Mehmed I. Her marriage served as an alliance between the Ottomans and this buffer state. Her tomb is located at the site known as Hatuniye Tomb in Muradiye Mosque in Bursa.
