The Women's Heavyweight Weightlifting Event (– 75 kg) is the sixth weight class in women's weightlifting competition, limiting competitors to a maximum of 75 kilograms of body mass. The competition took place on 2000-09-20 in the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre. The women's weightlifters made their olympic debut at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Each lifter performed in both the snatch and clean and jerk lifts, with the final score being the sum of the lifter's best result in each. The athlete received three attempts in each of the two lifts; the score for the lift was the heaviest weight successfully lifted.
María Isabel Urrutia became the first ever colombian gold medalist at Summer Olympics.
