Wandilo is a settlement in South Australia. At the 2011 census, Wandilo had a population of 268.[2] It was named after the railway station on the Mount Gambier railway line, and is recorded to mean "a swamp where native companions resort".[1]
Wandilo was a junction on the railway line, 8 miles (13 km) north of Mount Gambier, with a branch line to Glencoe constructed in 1904,[3] until it was decommissioned in 1959.[4]
