History
WPFF was originally founded by Dr. Mark Schwarzbauer and operated through Family Educational Broadcasting[2] with a broadcast largely provided by CCM. This format remained in place until just before his retirement in 2008.[3] WPFF was sold to Bethesda Christian Broadcasting in December 2007.[4] On October 23, 2013, it was announced that WPFF, WNLI and their associated translators would be sold to the Educational Media Foundation, owners of the K-LOVE and Air 1 CCM networks.[5] In mid January 2014, the station announced that, with the sale to EMF closing it would convert to carrying the K-LOVE network, with sister station WNLI carrying EMF's Air1 network. By January 27, 2014, the conversion to national programming from K-LOVE was complete.[6] The sale, at a price of $825,000, was consummated on February 14, 2014.
