Varun Tej is an Indian film actor who hails from Chiranjeevi's family. He works predominantly in Telugu film industry.
Early life
Varun is the son of actor and producer Nagendra Babu, younger brother of Chiranjeevi. He is the nephew of actor Pawan Kalyan. He has a younger sister Niharika Konidela. His cousins Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Sai Dharam Tej are also actors in Tollywood.
Debut in films (2014-present)
He made his debut as a lead with the film Mukunda directed by Srikanth Addala opposite Pooja Hegde. In Kanche, he portrayed Dhupati Haribabu, the grandson of a poor barber, who falls in love with Seethadevi who later goes on to fight in World War II. The film, directed by Krish, was critically appreciated by critics and also was a commercial success and featured Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead. His third film, Loafer, was directed by Puri Jagannath and released on December 18.[1]
