VR Bengaluru, popularly known as Black Box On Whitefield Road, is one of the largest shopping malls in India, situated in Whitefield, Bangalore. Its gross floor area is 600,000 square feet (56,000 m2).[2] In addition to the retail arcade, the compound hosts a luxury boutique hotel, a multiplex with the largest Gold Class[3] in India along with an IMAX[4], commercial spaces and customisable collaborative working spaces for start-ups and entrepreneurs.[5]

The mall consists of The Hive, The Waverly and the SkyDeck. South India's first H&M store was launched here in 2016.[6]

VR Bengaluru hosts a 9-screen multiplex from PVR and also Bangalore's second IMAX theatre and India's biggest Gold Class thatres.[7]

To make the shopping experience more fun for kids, VR Bengaluru features sculpted soft foam play areas called the Magic Garden. Spanning 2000 square feet, these play areas come with a smooth, durable and anti-bacterial finish, making it safe and healthy for kids to play in.


Fun City's most popular area among the kids is the Play Zone. It consists of a soft play structure with a variety of colourful and attractive elements to engage the children. The soft play area is multi-levelled with climbing frames, interactive elements, crawl tunnels, padded obstacles, rope bridges, ball pools and slides. It provides a safe and secure place to slide, run, climb, jump around and enjoy.

The F&B offering at VR Bengaluru is a marked departure from the city’s regular dining scene. With a line-up of reputed names such as Toscano, Salt, Irish House and the FoodBox, the fine dining menu at the gourmet kitchens serves up an array of international cuisines, prepared by celebrity chefs, ensuring there is something for every palate.

The Whitefield Arms is an English style pub and microbrewery that serves high-quality, handcrafted brews. Toscano is a fine-dining Italian restaurant offers a menu ranging from gourmet pizzas to multi-course dinners. Irish House is the neighbourhood pub with sports screenings and great music. Salt offers the ambience of a wayside Dhaba with the classiness of a Bistro.
