Thijs Waterink

Thijs Waterink (born December 26, 1968 in Arnhem, Gelderland) is a retired football striker from the Netherlands, who started his professional career in the 1988-1989 season for FC Wageningen. Since then he played for TOP Oss (1991–1996), FC Den Bosch (1996–1998), FC Gütersloh (1998–1999), Arminia Bielefeld (1999–2000), Karlsruher SC (2000–2003), and SC Paderborn (2003–2005).
In 2005 he got a four-month suspension by de German Football Association for his role in the bribe scandal with referee Robert Hoyzer and his club Paderborn fired him. After his suspension he played till 2008 at Dutch hoofdklasse amateur club De Bataven in Gendt.
