Theo Hiddema (Medwert-Holwerd, 1 April 1944) is a Dutch lawyer and media personality.[1]

Biography

Hiddema was accepted to the bar on July 10, 1975 in Maastricht. After an internship with Max Moszkowicz in Maastricht, he founded his own practice in 1981. There are currently two offices, one in Amsterdam and one in Maastricht.

Hiddema became known as a lawyer in several famous cases, one against Florrie Rost van Tonningen-Heubel, the widow of a Dutch national-socialist during WWII, and the case against the violent and criminal Venlo Gang. Hiddema is a media personality, as a lawyer and opinion maker. He has been reprimanded by the Dutch Disciplinary Court for insulting a journalist and for inappropriate reimbursements.

On several occasions Hiddema has declared his political support for Geert Wilders.
