Rude Awakening is an upcoming studio album by American hip hop group TGOD Mafia (composed of rappers Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa and record producer TM88). It is set to be released on June 3, 2016, by Atlantic Records, Columbia Records and EMPIRE Distribution.[1] The album solely features a guest appearance from fellow American rapper Project Pat. It also includes the production handled by both TM88 and Juicy J, alongside Crazy Mike, Southside, YEEZY808 and MP808. The album was supported by the single, "All Night".
Release and promotion
On March 21, 2016, Producer TM88 revealed that himself, alongside with rappers Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa, would be releasing their collaboration album. He also posted a picture of the album's tracklist on Instagram. Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa were listed at the top of the picture, and underneath their names were the title that said, "Prod. by TM88", which was suggested that he had did the production work on all these songs.[2] On May 7, 2016, Wiz Khalifa hinted the album's title in a tweet and it said that the project would be releasing next week.[3]
On May 13, a pre-order for the album was made available on iTunes, and with that, it revealed an updated track listing.[4] Initially a collaboration with One Direction's Liam Payne was slated to be included on the album, however, that collaboration has been removed, when it was done on a unfinished demo of the song, which was leaked online in April 2016. On May 13, their official first single from the album, titled "All Night" was released on iTunes.[5][6]
