Sylvia Brunlehner

Sylvia Tanya Atieno Brunlehner (born February 13, 1994) is a swimmer who has represented Kenya at several competitions.

She has competed at events such as the:

  • - FINA world championships (Roma 2009(LC), Dubai 2010 (SC), Shanghai 2011 (LC), Istanbul 2012[1] (SC), 2013 Barcelona(LC)[2]

  • - Commonwealth games (Delhi 2010 (LC), Glasgow 2014
  • - Youth Olympic Games (Singapore 2010 (LC)[3]
  • - All African Games (Algeria 2007 (LC), Mozambique 2011(LC)
  • - African swimming championships (South Africa 2009 (LC), Morocco 2010 (LC)
  • - African Youth games (Morocco 2010 (LC)
  • - Africans junior swimming championships (Mauritius 2010 (LC)
  • - ITU triathlon - Mauritius 2005,[4] Zimbabwe 2010

, she continues to hold most Kenyan records in the freestyle, backstroke an.

Her main events are: 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly.

She is coached by Mark Rose at City of Manchester aquatics swim team (COMAST) where she has been living for 3 years.

Her previous coach was Rohan Taylor of Nunawading Swimming Club in Melbourne, Australia where she completed high school. Before that she had lived in Kenya.
