The Subdivisions of Galicia were the administrative districts of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, the largest and most populous part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire between 1772 to 1918. It consisted of 73 administrative districts in 1877 and 78 in 1900 and they were responsible for storing vital records. Galicia is today a historical region in Poland and Ukraine.

Voivodeships and oblasts

Today Galicia is spread upon three Polish voivodeships (Lesser Poland, Subcarpathia and some very small parts in Silesia) and three Ukrainian oblasts (Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk and Ternopil).[1]
