Steinar Amundsen (born 4 July 1945) is a Norwegian sprint canoeist. He won the gold medal on K4 1000 metres at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City (with Egil Søby, Tore Berger and Jan Johansen), and earned a bronze medal at the 1972 Olympics in Munich on the same distance.[1]
Amundsen also won two gold medals in the K-4 10000 m event at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, earning them in 1970 and 1975.
He was a member of Bærum KK.[2] Amundsen's younger brother Harald competed as a sprint canoeist in the 1980s.
