"Stay" is a song written and recorded by David Bowie in 1975 for the album Station to Station, released in January the following year. In July 1976, the song was released as a single by RCA in the U.S. The length of the album version of "Stay" is 6:15.
The verse and chorus structures can be traced back to "John, I'm Only Dancing (Again)", a track recorded for the Young Americans album but first released (as a single) in 1979.

- A live recording made at the BBC Radio Theatre, London, England on 27 June 2000 was released on the bonus disc accompanying the first releases of Bowie at the Beeb.
