She Was Nice To Mice: The Other Side of Elizabeth I's Character Never Before Revealed by Previous Historians (ISBN 0070565155) is a children's book written by Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy at the age of 12.[1] Sheedy later became better known as film actress Ally Sheedy.
The book features a mouse called Esther Esther who is transported back in time to England in the time of Queen Elizabeth I and William Shakespeare.
The book was illustrated by Jessica Ann Levy[2] (a 13-year-old at the time), and was published by McGraw Hill in 1975, becoming a best-seller.[1]
