Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan Medical and Dental College (shortened as Shaikh Zayed Medical College, abbreviated as SKZMDC) is a public college of medicine and dentistry located in New Muslim Town, Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is established on the initiative of CM Shehbaz Sharif to give quality education in the region Punjab and especially in Lahore City.Shaikh Zayed Hospital is attached to the college as a teaching hospital. The college started off in 2009 and the first batch will be graduating at the end of 2014. The Institute is currently headed by Prof Dr Farid Ahmad Khan.[1]

Official College Magazine: PHOENIX

  • In early 2015,a call for auditions was made for the substantial posts (6) in the New-formed Editorial Board. Students from all years of MBBS sent their CV(s) and shortlisted candidates were interviewed. After a short deliberation session, Syed Hasnain Ali, from 3rd Year MBBS, was selected as the Editor-in-Chief of the First Official College Magazine (named Phoenix), which is expected to come out this Fall, before the graduation Ceremony of the Pioneer Batch. 11 members were then added by the editor in chief, including 6 people to collect the few contributions that people did not send directly and 3 people to assist him in his duties. The magazine is famous for containing at least 8 interviews, at least half taken by the chief editor himself.
