Screamer Radio is a freeware-licensed internet radio client with recording abilities.[4] It is able to play back streams using WMA, MP3, Ogg Vorbis or AAC streams and can also record these into several formats.[5] It can also receive ID3 Tags from the internet radio server to be able to display the name and artist of the current song; this information can also be used when recording, the title and artist is then added into the filename.
The program has been featured in several PC magazines including the German PC Welt and the Swedish Allt Om PC.[6]
Since 2010 the program is no longer maintained and a number of radio stations can no longer be received. .
