Sandra Thomas (Malayalam: സാന്ദ്ര തോമസ്; born 7 August 1986) is a Malayalam film producer and actor.[1] She is best known for the roles in Amen and Zachariayude Garbhinikal also as the producer of Zachariayude Garbhinikal and Philips and the Monkey Pen. Sandra along with actor Vijay Babu found the film production company Friday Film House.

Personal life

Sandra, was born to Thomas Joseph and Ruby Thomas on 7 August 1986. Sandra has a younger sister Sneha Teresa Thomas. She completed schooling from Mary Matha Higher Secondaty School, Thrikkakara and from St.Teresa's Higher Secondary School, Ernakulam. Later she went on to pursue BBA from Hindustan University, Chennai & MIB from Dr. GRD College of Science, Coimbatore.

Career

Sandra started her film career as a child artist. After a long interval she returned to the industry as producer of Friday. Her first venture was an ad agency named Innovative Concepts, bonds made through it made it easy for her to became a full time producer. Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu grabbed the special jury awards of Kerala state for Best producers for their movie Philips and Monkey pen. She have also won Atlas film critics 2013 award for the best producer and Whistling Woods Inspiration Young achievers 2013 award. Friday, her first film as a producer was screened in the International Film festival of Kerala 2012. Now she is working with the project "Adi Kapyare Kootamani" starring Dhyan Sreenivasan as the central character.

Friday Film House

Film, Friday was the crux of her career and also turned to be for Friday Film House, a Kerala-based film production company she owns along with Vijay Babu. Friday Film house won 7 of the Kerala state film awards in various fields in 2014. Though the company is established after the release of Friday, the movie is considered as the first production venture of Friday Film House.[2]
