Akash's grandfather is also an expert in telling people's fortune. He predicts that Akash will fall in love with a girl who lives 500 steps away from their studio. He also says that they both will be in love forever but won't be together. Akash moves as per the instruction of his grandpa and finds a tall girl who is elder to him. Akash moves out of disappointment.

Meanwhile Akash (Pulkit Samrat), who is now grown up, falls in love with his classmate Shruti (Yami Gautam). He believes that Shruti is the girl who is meant for him. But everything happens just like his grandpa said. Akash moves to another place for his higher studies.

In the present, Akash works for a private firm and also leads a boring life. When Akash learns that his grandfather's health condition has worsened, he decides to leave the city. He also tries to find Shruti but fails. When he finds that his boss (Manoj Joshi) dismissed him, he rushes back. Later Akash is asked to bring up a big deal for his company for which he travels to Canada to meet Mrs. Pablo, their company investor's wife who is now broken up with her husband. Akash arrives at a yoga camp conducted by an ex-sex worker Babyji (Bharti Singh). Akash becomes friends with Mrs. Pablo and learns that her real name is Akansha (Urvashi Rautela). Akash also meets Shruti in the camp who behaves like a tomboy. Akash proposes to Akansha for his own use and he pretends to be in love with her. After spending some days in Canada, Akash and Shruti again fall in love with each other. It is also revealed that Akansha is none other than the tall girl that Akash met in his childhood. Akash is again left heart broken when Shruti says that she is not ready to be in a relationship.

Akash finds that she still loves him and embarks on a journey to find the truth behind Shruti's rejection. Akash becomes completely shocked when he learns from Shruti's cousin that she is suffering from a rare heart disease. He also finds that her heart needs to be transplanted soon.

After some time, Shruti moves out from the hospital and finds that her heart disease has been cured. In order to be with Akash she moves to the city to find Akash but fails in finding him. Finally, Shruti is left heart broken when she finds that her disease is cured indeed it was Akash who donated his heart. Shruti then believes that Akash lives in her heart before the screen cuts to black.
