The movie is about a woman, who meets another woman, who thinks she is a man until a certain shocking and unclothed scene occurs. Kotzebue discovers her origin then she takes a reluctant Roswitha back to Germany to make peace with herself. The movie has haunting imagery, surprising twists, a strange romance and a great soundtrack, including the song Barefoot.
