Rubbestadneset is a village in Bømlo municipality in Hordaland county, Norway. The village is located on a peninsula on the eastern side of the island of Bømlo, about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) east of the municipal centre of Svortland. The Stokksundet strait lies to the east and the Innværfjorden lies to the south and west. The 1.0-square-kilometre (250-acre) village has a population (2013) of 1,205; giving the village a population density of 1,205 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,120/sq mi). This makes it the third largest village in the municipality.[1] Wichmann Diesel motors originate from Rubbestadneset. Rubbestadnes Upper Secondary School is located in the village.[3]
