Richard Blaze (born 19 April 1985 in Birmingham, England) is an English former rugby union player, who played Lock for Leicester Tigers.

Blaze represented England at U21 level while at Worcester Warriors,[1] in the summer of 2006, he played in all five games during the Grand Slam.[citation needed] In 2007, he signed for Leicester Tigers .[2]

Blaze represented England Saxons at the 2007 Churchill Cup[3] and 2008 Churchill Cup.[4]

Blaze missed much of the 2008–09 season due to a foot injury, sustained in November against Bath Rugby. A recurrence of the problem saw him also miss much of the 2009–10 season as well, in a disappointing turn of events after having been picked for England's Elite Squad as a replacement for Simon Shaw.[5] Blaze retired on 21 October 2010 after suffering a foot injury.[6]
