History
The club's predecessor, Korvpalliklubi Rapla (English: Basketball Club Rapla), was founded in 1996 as a division of the Rapla Sports School, developing both men's and women's basketball players. In 2004, Rapla Korvpallikool (English: Rapla Basketball School) was formed.[1]
In 2010, Rapla moved to the Sadolin Sports Hall and was promoted to the first tier Korvpalli Meistriliiga. Under head coach Indrek Ruut, the team finished the 2010–11 regular season 6th under and reached the playoffs but was eliminated in the quarterfinals by TTÜ/Kalev with a record of 1–3. In 2011, Rapla joined the regional Baltic Basketball League. In 2012, Rapla reached the Estonian Cup finals but finished as runners-up after being beaten by Rakvere Tarvas 64–81.[2] In 2014, Ruut was replaced as head coach by the former Estonia national basketball team player Aivar Kuusmaa. Rapla finished the 2014–15 season in third place.
