Ralf Mackenbach (born 4 October 1995) is a Dutch singer, dancer and musical artist who won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009[1] in Kiev, Ukraine on 21 November 2009. He earned 121 points with the song Click Clack, which was written by Ralf's neighbor.
He released his debut album RALF in September 2010.
Biography
Mackenbach was born in Best, North Brabant, and has been attending Amsterdam's dancing academy Lucia Marthas since 2009. He has an older brother called Rick (Born 1993) He played the little Tarzan in the musical Tarzan and Jakopje in the musical Beauty and the Beast. The official video for Click clack, shows he is left-handed. He's getting acting lessons at CKE (Centrum voor de Kunsten Eindhoven) in Eindhoven. In 2011 he participated in the show "Stars Dance on Ice". Ralf was 1 of the 4 judges on the 2011 edition of the Dutch talent show "My Name is..."
In 2009 at 13 years old Mackenbach competed in (and won) the 2009 Junior Songfestival with the song "Click Clack" receiving maximum points from the kids jury, expert jury and televote. Because of this win he represented The Netherlands i the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) in Kiev, Ukraine. In the final, he finished with 121 points in the first place (Netherlands' first and so far only win). The following year at Junior Eurovision performed a medley of JESC winning song with fellow winners. When Netherlands hosted the 2012 Contest he performed as an interval act with his song "This Is Our Party"
His first album RALF achieved a Top 10 spot in the Dutch Album Charts and entered the Flanders Album Charts at 58th. In March 2011 he was awarded a gold record for this album after achieving 25 000 in units sold.
