Quercus subhinoidea is an uncommon Asian species of trees in the beech family. It has been found only on the Island of Hainan in southern China.[2]
Quercus subhinoidea is a tree up to 13 meters tall. Twigs are covered with yellow-brown hairs. Leaves can be as much as 12 cm long.[2]
