Qasim Akhtar (born 8 June 1991) is an English Actor. Who is best known for his roles as Chesney Karib in the Channel 4 show, Shameless and Zeedan Nazir in Coronation Street.
Career
Akhtar started his acting career by appearing in Mischief Night 2006. He later went on to Shameless and played the recurring character of Chesney Karib. He has also appeared in Waterloo Road for a short part. In 2014, Akhtar was cast as Zeedan Nazir, the son of Kal Nazir (Jimi Mistry), in the long-running soap opera, Coronation Street.
Personal life
Akhtar attended Parrs Wood High School[citation needed] in Didsbury and later went on to complete his education at Cheadle & Marple Sixth Form College.
