Maria Vittoria Margherita of Savoy (22 June 1740 – 14 July 1742) was a princess of Savoy.[1] She was born in the reign of her father Charles Emmanuel III, King of Sardinia.

Biography

Princess Maria Vittoria was born in Turin. She was the second child of her father Charles Emmanuel III of Sardinia and Élisabeth Thérèse of Lorraine. Her mother died giving birth to her brother Prince Benedetto, named after Pope Benedict XIV who became pope the year before her birth.

Her paternal cousins included Louis XV of France, the future Ferdinand VI of Spain and the Prince of Carignan. Her maternal cousin's included the future Queen of Naples, the future Holy Roman Emperor and the famous Queen Marie Antoinette.

She died in Turin aged 2, and was buried at Royal Basilica of Superga, Turin.
