Preston Institute of Management Science and Technology (PIMSAT) is an institute of higher education with its main campus in Karachi, Pakistan.

PIMSAT is a coeducational public institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.[1]

PIMSAT offers two- and four-year programs for undergraduates and graduates, backed by a research institute. The emphasis of the institute is business, computer science, management and technology trades, though other disciplines are offered.

Recognition and charter

The institute in Karachi has been chartered by the government of Sindh through promulgation of ordinance no. LEGIS: 1(26)/2001 and recognized by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Government of Pakistan and is listed on their website [1] under the heading “chartered university/Degree Awarding institutes of Pakistan in Public and Private sectors.

PIMSAT is listed with the Charter Inspection and Evaluation Committee, Sindh Pakistan as a chartered institute.[2]

Karachi Campus

Karachi Campus is located on the main Shara-e-Faisal Road, opposite the Regent Plaza Hotel, Karachi, Pakistan.

Lahore Campus

Lahore campus is not an official branch of PIMSAT. It is located at New Muslim Town,(Near Campus Bridge). HEC does not accept any degree obtained from Lahore Campus Lahore, Pakistan.[3]

Construction of campuses

PIMSAT acquired land for the permanent campuses of the institute. The management acquired land at two places:

  • Safora Chowrangi, University Road, Near Kiran Hospital measuring 2 acres has been purchased.
  • Korangi Township near the Institute of Business Management), has been purchased.
