BBC Television Centre

Specially built for the BBC and opened in 1960, BBC Television Centre in London is home to much of the BBC's television output. Studio TC1, at 995 square metres, is the second largest television studio in Britain. The corporation has plans to dispose of the building by 2015.

BBC Broadcasting House

Broadcasting House on Portland Place in London is the headquarters of the BBC. Opened in 1932, the building is also the home to Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 4 Extra. For the past decade, the building has seen massive change, with sections demolished and a huge extension added, expected to open in 2011.

The Glasgow Studios, home to BBC Scotland

Opened in 2007, BBC Pacific Quay is BBC Scotland's television and radio studio complex at Pacific Quay, Glasgow. It is home to most productions for BBC Scotland and the network.

The new Egton Wing of Broadcasting House

The Egton Wing of Broadcasting House was completed in 2005 on the site of Egton House. A memorial sculpture, Breathing, for those killed whilst reporting on wars is situated on the roof.

BBC Birmingham headquarters

The BBC Birmingham national network production centre is based in The Mailbox in Birmingham. The Mailbox also serves as the headquarters for BBC English Regions and is the home of BBC West Midlands.

The transmission mast at Alexandra Palace

The transmission mast above the BBC wing of Alexandra Palace in North London. Alexandra Palace was home to the BBC Television Service (now BBC One) from 1936 until the early 1950s, and was the site of the world's first public broadcasts of analogue high-definition television in 1936.

MediaCityUK under construction in Salford Quays, Greater Manchester

The MediaCityUK development at Salford Quays, Greater Manchester, will become the home of the BBC in Manchester from 2011. Five departments will be relocating to the site from London in addition to the teams already in the city.

BBC New Broadcasting House

New Broadcasting House was the BBC's former Manchester base. It was home to the BBC Manchester production centre, as well as the BBC North West region. It was vacated in autumn 2011, when all productions relocated to MediaCityUK.
