The Paragon Group of Companies plc is one of the United Kingdom's largest providers of mortgages and personal loans. It is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 Index.
History
The Company was established in 1985 as the National Home Loans Corporation.[2] It launched Homeloans Direct (now known as Paragon Mortgages) in 1995.[2] In 1997 it changed its name to the Paragon Group of Companies.[2] In 2003 it acquired Britannic Money.[3]
Operations
The Company is based in Solihull. Loan assets as at 30 September 2013 were £9.7 billion.[1]
