The PLAN is a preliminary ACT test that is generally administered in the sophomore year.[1] ACT, Inc. claims that it predicts success on the ACT. It is viewed as the ACT's equivalent of the PSAT.

Components

The test consists of four separate parts: an English (grammar) section, a Math section, a Reading section, and a Science section. Each portion of the test has a different number of questions and a different amount of time allotted.[2]
