Sports
The Otero Junior College Athletic Department has adamantly pursued excellence over the years on both the playing fields and in the classroom. Our quest has been supported by faculty, staff, coaches and administrators who have all worked together to help our students succeed in life as well as their respective sport. As a fan of Rattler Athletics, we hope to bring you more opportunities to follow, get acquainted with, and support our teams through game-day webcasts, radio webcasts, and feature articles.
Over the course of the last few years, Otero Junior Colleges administration and staff have worked hard to improve many areas of the athletic department. We have a state-of-the art fitness center where you’ll find all of the latest cardio and strength training equipment along with dynamic group exercise programs that include classes like yoga, step/body bar, aerobics and Zumba.
With excellent facilities, community commitment, fan support and a group of outstanding coaches, Otero Junior College is a major force in the Region IX Conference. Many of our programs are predicted to compete for Region IX championship honors while others should challenge for a bid to the National Tournament in their respective sports.
An exciting year lies ahead for all of our teams and student athletes; with a high academic standard, practice schedule and tough competition we know our student athletes will rise to the top.
