Mission Society of the Philippines

The Mission Society of the Philippines (MSP) is a Society of Apostolic Life and of Pontifical Right for mission ad gentes. It received its pontifical right status on January 6, 2009 from the Vatican's Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples (CEP) having been established by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) in 1965. The society serves as the official and chief missionary arm of the Catholic Church of the Philippines. Since its inception, the MSP now has been working in five continents and twelve countries. In Asia, the MSP has missions in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. In Oceania, it serves in Papua-New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, and Cook Islands. In Europe, it is present in the Netherlands and in England. In North America, the Mission Society of the Philippines is present in the United States of America, while in South America, it has a mission in Guyana.
