List of internet service providers in India

This is a list of internet service providers of India carrying A, B, and C licences who provided broadband access to 99,203,836 users as of March 2015.[1]

State owned or Public Sector companies

  • BSNL - servicing all of India except Mumbai and Delhi. FTTH, Triple-play Broadband Services provided by ADSL and VDSL. Also providing internet services over GPRS, 3G, as well as WiMax.[2][3]
  • MTNL - servicing Mumbai and Delhi. FTTH, Triple-play Broadband Services provided by ADSL under the "Tri-Band" brand. Also providing GPRS and 3G internet services.

In 2007, BSNL started providing EVDO services.[4]

Privately owned, nationwide

Following is a list of privately-owned providers that have been reviewed by the Internet Service Providers Association of India (ISPAI) for their architecture, licence, and technology standards. This list was last updated in May 2016.

Apart from there, there are large number of small players with limited coverage areas.
