The Oklahoma House of Representatives is the lower house of the Oklahoma Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. State of Oklahoma. One member is elected from each of the state's 101 electoral districts. As of 2013, 72 of those seats are held by Republicans and 29 seats are held by Democrats. The leader of the chamber is known as the Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, a position currently held by T.W. Shannon. Members are term-limited to 12 years in legislative office.
