American singer and songwriter Bruno Mars has received 71 awards from 235 nominations. He is the recipient of a BT Digital Music Award, three Brit Awards, an Echo Award, a JUNO Award, four Grammy Awards, three Soul Train Music Awards, and an American Music Award. He has also been nominated for two ARIA Music Awards, eight BET Awards, two MOBO Awards, and eight NAACP Image Awards.

Mars initially came to prominence as an acknowledged music producer and lyricist, who composed songs for other artists along with his production team The Smeezingtons.[1][2] They were responsible for composing Mars first collaboration with B.o.B, the single "Nothin' on You", which won Song of the Year at the 2010 Soul Train Music Awards and at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards he was in nominated in three categories, including Record of the Year. Mars' debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans, released in 2010 produced two Billboard Hot 100 number–one singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade".[3][4] The former won a Best Male Pop Vocal Performance at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, while the latter received three nominations including Song of the Year at the following ceremony. He won the awards for Best Male Artist at several award ceremonies in 2011 and 2012, including American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, International Male Solo Artist at the Brit Awards and the Echo Award for Best International Male.

Mars' second studio album Unorthodox Jukebox was released in December 2012.[3] Two of its singles "Locked Out of Heaven", and "When I Was Your Man" reached number one at the Billboard Hot 100.[4] The album was nominated for four Grammy Awards at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best Pop Vocal Album and Record of the Year for "Locked Out of Heaven", it won the former award. In 2013, the album was recognized with the Juno Award for International Album of the Year. "Locked Out of Heaven" won Best Song at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards. In addition, Mars won two consecutive International Artist of the Year at the 2013 and 2014 NRJ Music Awards. In 2014, he won an International Male Solo Artist at the 2014 BRIT Awards and collaborated on Mark Ronson's single "Uptown Funk". The song won the Brit Award for Single of the Year, Song of the Year at the Soul Train Music Awards, International Work of the Year at the APRA Music Awards and two Grammy awards  – Record of the Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

ALMA Award

The ALMA Award, or American Latino Media Arts Award is a distinction awarded to Latino performers (actors, film and television directors, musicians, and designers) who promote positive portrayals of Latinos in the entertainment field. In Spanish, the word alma means spirit or soul.[5] Mars has been nominated twice.

ASCAP Awards

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) is one of three United States performing rights organizations (Pro's), along with BMI and SESAC. The ASCAP presents a series of annual awards shows in seven different music categories: pop, rhythm and soul, film and television, Latin, country, Christian, and concert music.[12] The Smeezingtons (Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine) have received one award on the Rhythm & Soul Music Awards. The Record of the Year

The Record of the Year was an award voted by the UK public. The award began in 1998, and was televised on ITV before being dropped in 2006 after disagreements over the phone voting element.
