Leslie "Les" Dayman (born in Adelaide on 19 January 1933) is an Australian actor best known for his performances on television.

Career

He starred in the crime series Homicide as Senior Detective Bill Hudson having appeared in 104 episodes from 1966 to 1968. In the 1980s, he was a major cast member in the soap operas Sons and Daughters (as Roger Carlyle) and Prisoner (as Geoff Macrae). Other television roles have included Division 4, Bellamy, Cop Shop, Holiday Island, A Country Practice, Water Rats, Stingers, All Saints, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries.

E Street

He also appeared in the soap E Street throughout its four-year run as police sergeant George Sullivan. Dayman is sometimes confused with Brian Wenzel, who also portrayed a Police Sergeant in A Country Practice.

Personal life

He has two sons with Diane Dayman, also a member of the South Australian Theatre Company: Nicholas Andrew and Timothy Paul. Dayman now has two granddaughters.

Les is currently married to Rosie.
