Lars "Laban" Arnesson (born 20 February 1936 in Sandviken) was the coach of the Sweden national football team from 1980 to 1986.

Arnesson had great success as a trainer for Östers IF and got the job as coach for the national team, leading Sweden in 1982[1] and 1986 World Cup qualifying.[2] Having never taken the team to any World Cup, he resigned in 1986. He also played for Djurgårdens IF in the early 60's.

Following his coaching career, Arnesson worked with the FIFA technical committee to evaluate proposals for changes to the FIFA Laws of the Game.[3][4]
