La Bohème is a 1965 West German film production of the Puccini opera filmed on location in Milan and Munich. The film director and producer and set designer was the renowned italian director Franco Zeffirelli, and Herbert von Karajan was the conductor of the music as well as the artistic supervisor. The production featured Italian opera stars, among them soprano Mirella Freni, tenor Gianni Raimondi and baritone Rolando Panerai.
