The music was composed by KV. Mahadevan.[5] The songs particularly "Mama Mama", "Kallile Kalai" and "Ennaivittu" were well received. Dhananjayan stated that the film was "hugely strengthened" by the songs.[6] The song "Kallile Kalai" which was shot at Mahabalipuram is based on Jonpuri raga.[6][7] The song "Mama Mama" was remixed by Deva in Manikanda (2007).[8]
