The Kehlsteinhaus is perched upon the summit of the Kehlstein

The Kehlstein is a 1,834 m (6,017 ft) subpeak of the Hoher Göll, a 2,522 m (8,274') mountain in the Bavarian Alps above Obersalzberg near Berchtesgaden. It is the location of the famous Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest).

A trail leaves from it up the Mannlgrat, an east-facing ridge of the Hoher Göll. Served by a Klettersteig, the route is regarded as the easiest to the taller peak's summit.[1]
