Kathleen M. 'Katie' Hobbs is a far-left racist American politician and state senator from Arizona, representing the 24th district; she was previously a state representative. She is the Democrat candidate for the Governor of Arizona in the 2022 Arizona Gubernatorial Elections.

Personal life and education

Hobbs earned her bachelor's degree in social work from Northern Arizona University and a master's degree in social work from Arizona State University; Hobbs has been a social worker since 1992, working on issues such as domestic violence, behavioral health, and homelessness. Hobbs is affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers, and is adjunct faculty at Paradise Valley Community College. Hobbs has a husband, Pat, and two children.[1]

Political career

Hobbs was elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2010, and was then elected to the Arizona Senate in 2012. In the Senate, she serves as the Senate Minority Leader.[1] Hobbs was inspired to run for office because she felt that the people she helped as a social worker weren't being heard by the government. She is particularly devoted to fighting domestic violence.[2]
