Kaashmora (English: World of Spirits) is an upcoming Indian Tamil supernatural horror film written and directed by Gokul. The film features Karthi, Nayantara, Sridivya and Manisha Yadav in the lead roles.[1][2] Santhosh Narayanan was signed as a music composer.[3] S.R.Prakashbabu and S R Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures are producing this movie.

Karthi’s next film titled ‘Kaashmora’ is all set to begin in the first week of May in which he plays dual roles after Siruthai and will be romancing Nayanthara for the first time in his career. It is noteworthy that Nayanthara was announced as the heroine of Karthi in Paiyaa but walked out due to unknown reasons. Sri Divya is said to play as second heroine. In early January 2016, Manisha Yadav signed on to potray a third female lead role opposite Karthi. According to reports, this is a first time Manisha Yadav featured in a high budgeted movie after Soodhadhi with Dhanush was stalled. ‘Kaashmora’ is directed by Gokul, who gave the laugh riot anthology Idharkuthaney Aasaipattai Balakumara.
Vivek will be playing Karthi’s dad in Kashmora. This was revealed by the comedian himself at the Palakaatu Madhavan audio launch held Apr 23 2015.
Vivek, who was seen sporting a salt and pepper look for the past few days, has said that though he tried out different get-ups for the role, finally he decided that this would suit the best. Kaashmora, starring Karthi, Nayanthara and Sri Divya in the lead roles, is being directed by Gokul of Idharkuthaney Aasaipattai Balakumara and Rowthiram fame.[4]
3D Technology
It's been said that the "3D Face scan" technology has been used in this film. Karthi's face has been 3D scanned for an important sequence which will be running 15 minutes. Superstar Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan and Suriya's Maattrraan used the 3D scanning technology but they were full body scans. For that, Rajinikanth and Suriya had to visit the United States of America for scanning. But for 'Kaashmora', Karthi's face has been scanned in a studio in Chennai. So we can say that 'Kaashmora' will be introducing 3D Face Scan Technology in Tamil cinema which was done in India for the first time![5]
