Juan Alberto Espil (born January 5, 1968) is a retired Argentine basketball player, who played as a shooting guard. His last club was Estudiantes de Bahía Blanca, where he retired in 2012.[1]

He competed for his native country at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, finishing in ninth place in the overall-rankings. A year earlier he had claimed the first ever gold medal in men's basketball at the Pan American Games, defeating the United States with the Argentina national basketball team in the final of the 1995 Pan American Games in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

In February, 2013, Estudiantes honoured Espil retiring the 10 jersey he wore during his two tenures on the club.[1] [2]
