Jesse Levi Fatherree, Jr. (June 7, 1913 – July 23, 1962) was a college football and basketball player and coach. He was the fourth head football coach for the Southeastern Louisiana University Lions located in Hammond, Louisiana and he held that position for the 1941 season. His coaching record at Southeastern Louisiana was 4 wins, 5 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 12th at Southeastern Louisiana in total wins and ninth at Southeastern Louisiana in winning percentage (.444).[1][2] He was inducted into the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 1964.[2]
He died in 1962 of hepatitis.[3]
